Director of Himalayan Operations, Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages Nepalese vegan and animal rights activist Suresh Sharma is Director of Himalayan Operations for Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages. Growing up in the foothills of the Himalayas in rural Nepal, Suresh went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Sanskrit and Oriental Philosophy, which he achieved the prestigious Gold Medal and Nepal Bidhya Bhushand Padak Award felicitated to him by the first President of Nepal. An avid practitioner of meditation and yoga, and an expert of Vastu Shasthra, before joining VegVoyages Suresh travelled extensively for over 12 years leading hundreds of spiritual and holistic-based tours in Nepal and India, instilling in him his love of travel. Suresh actively campaigns against animal exploitation and hopes to encourage a non-violence-based society in Nepal by promoting veganism throughout the country. Suresh also dreams of turning Nepal, and the Himalayas on the whole, into one of the world’s best vegan destinations.
