Adventure Leader- Vegan Travel Asia for Sri Lanka, Founder - Smokey’s - The Brownie Bar, Evolved Meat and ‘Cinner & Seitan’

Tashie is a vegan entrepreneur, vegan activist and animal rescuer in Sri Lanka. She has been vegan for 8 years, vegetarian for 20 years and is a passionate advocate for animal rights and welfare.

Tashie is a successful vegan entrepreneur who has founded and managed several vegan businesses. Her business ventures include Smokey’s - The Brownie Bar, Evolved meat and ‘Cinner & Seitan’ which focus on bringing exciting vegan food to vegans and non-vegans in Sri Lanka. She is one of the administrators of Vegan Sri Lanka - the leading vegan community in Sri Lanka.

As an experienced entrepreneur, she understands the importance of community building and has successfully co-created a platform, Vegan Sri Lanka, for like-minded individuals to come together and share their experiences through their Facebook group, educational Facebook page and through potlucks and get-togethers in Colombo.

She founded her vegan business, Smokey’s - The Brownie Bar in 2015 which later evolved in to a vegan cafe in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She later co-founded Evolved meat, ‘Cinner & Seitan’ and her vegan food review page and blog, ‘Veganator Sri Lanka’.

Tashie is the Sri Lankan chairperson for the World Vegan Organisation. In addition to this, she is the social media and marketing manager of Vegan Investing Club, a club that brings vegans together with the collective goal of accelerating the vegan economy by investing in Vegan start-ups.

As an ardent animal lover and animal rescuer, she plays an important role in rescue and rehabilitation of stray animals in Sri Lanka and currently lives with her many rescue cats and dogs.
